Need your notes, a letter or a study sheet to look handwritten without writing every line by hand? A text to handwriting converter does it in seconds. This guide shows how to do it for free with the iLoveAssignments editor, and how to make the result look as natural as possible.

Step 1: Paste or type your text

Open the editor and paste your text into the box on the left. You can paste from Word, Google Docs, a web page or an AI chat. Bold text and tables are kept automatically, so you do not need to fix the formatting by hand.

The handwritten preview on the right updates as you type.

Step 2: Choose a handwriting font

Click the font menu at the start of the toolbar. There are 17 handwriting styles in three groups:

  • Print: neat, even letters that are easy to read. Best for assignments.
  • Casual: relaxed everyday handwriting. Good for notes and letters.
  • Script: joined, cursive writing. Good for cards and invitations.

Three of the fonts were made from the real handwriting of our own team, with several versions of each letter, so repeated letters do not look copy-pasted. Read more in our guide to the best handwriting fonts for assignments.

Step 3: Pick the paper

Use the Paper menu to choose ruled lines, ruled with a red margin, squared (graph) paper, dotted or blank pages. The text sits exactly on the ruled lines, like real writing.

Next to it, Format switches between A4 and US Letter, in portrait or landscape.

Step 4: Style headings like a real student

Real assignments have headings written with a marker. Select a heading, open Marker and pick black, blue, red or green. It draws bold felt-tip strokes, like a Dollar 604 or 605 marker.

You can also:

  • Make text bold with the B button (or Ctrl+B).
  • Make a title bigger with Size: Small, Normal, Large or Huge. Huge headings take two ruled lines.
  • Change the whole page's writing size with the 100% control.

Step 5: Add tables

Click Table, move your mouse over the grid to choose rows and columns, and click. Tables are drawn with hand-ruled lines on the page. Click inside a table and open the Table menu again to add or remove rows and columns.

You can also paste a table straight from Excel, Google Sheets, Word or an AI chat.

Step 6: Make it look natural

A few settings make a big difference:

  • Ink: blue and black look the most like a real pen.
  • Natural variation: keep it on. It adds tiny differences in angle and position, like real handwriting.
  • Spacing: slightly increase letter or word spacing if the text looks crowded.
  • Lines: a bigger line height gives larger, more relaxed writing.

Step 7: Download your PDF

Click Download PDF. Your pages are created in your browser, so your text never leaves your device. You can also click Print to print directly.

Tips for the best result

  • Keep paragraphs short. Real handwritten pages have more breathing room than typed ones.
  • Use a marker colour for headings and a pen colour for body text, just like students do.
  • Leave a blank line between questions.

That is all it takes. Open the editor and try it with your own text.
